Things adults might like to do on Paxos

Use the Bleasdale Walking Map of Paxos (http://www.iankbleasdale.co.uk/) and follow the paths and tracks of the island through dramatic scenery, beautiful flowers and interesting fauna including hawks and Scops owls.

Chill out on the beach, perhaps at Lakkos and Orkos to name but two (of 25 options). In 2012 we discovered the towering cliffs and crashing surf of the Erimitis beach; a steep walk down but well worth the effort.

Have a drink in Roxi bar Loggos (first try the harbour side bar, then in the mainland side bar before watching the sunset from the roof bar to make a good day of it) or Romantica Cafe in Lakka

Hire a boat for the day to explore the coves and beaches that cannot be reached on foot or by car.

Take a course in scuba diving, sailing, creative writing, Kundalini yoga, painting or photography.

Challenge yourself to get on the local bus that tours the island every week day.

Visit the Paxos Music festival or try proper Greek dancing at one of the tavernas

Visit Hypapanti church, one of 66 on the island, as well as the many castles and deserted windmills.

People watch in the village squares or boat spotting in the harbours: The 262 ft long Amevi, a 300 million Euros yacht with a crew of 22 has been seen locally. It can be chartered for just 700,000 Euros a week. Apparently……….
